Following our recent coverage of introspective solo releases, we’re excited to introduce another unique voice: Kohei Kamoto’s debut solo work.

Kohei Kamoto, known as a member of DYGL and as a bandmate of Yuma Abe, will release his first solo album 『Dangle Candle』on Wednesday, November 26, 2025✨

The first advance single 「Car」was released on Wednesday, October 15.

Kamoto handled all instruments, mixing, and artwork himself, creating a strongly self-produced work. This is definitely one to check out🎶

DYGLのメンバーとして活動しながら、Yuma Abeのバンドメンバーとしても国内外のツアーや制作に参加しています。ソングライティングからレコーディング、ミックス、アートワークに至るまでをセルフプロデュースし、DIY精神と繊細な感性を融合させた作品を生み出しています。

2025年11月、初ソロ・アルバム『Dangle Candle』をリリース予定。全編英語詞で描かれる楽曲は、海外生活やツアーの経験から生まれる自然体の言葉選びと、ジャンルを横断する音楽的バックグラウンドをベースに構築されています。

さらに、アンビエント的な音像や空間性を取り入れることで、耳に残るだけでなく、風景を描くように広がりを持った世界観を提示しています。

『Dangle Candle』について

初のソロ・アルバム『Dangle Candle』は、国内外のツアーや制作を経て培った経験をもとに、Kohei Kamotoがソングライティングからレコーディング、ミックス、アートワークまでを自ら手がけた作品です。

香田悠真がアレンジャー、共同プロデューサーとして参加し、キーボードとシンセサイザーで音の奥行きと有機的な広がりを加えています。マスタリングはhmcの池田洋が担当しました。

本作は、Yuma Abeが主宰するThaian Recordsからリリースされます。Kohei Kamotoが描く新しい音の景色に注目が集まります。

About Kohei Kamoto

Kohei Kamoto, member of DYGL and bandmate of Yuma Abe, has been shaping his sound on the road and in the studio across Japan and beyond. Writing, recording, mixing, and even designing his own artwork, he takes a hands-on, DIY approach that keeps his music honest and personal.

His debut solo album 『Dangle Candle』arrives in November 2025. Sung entirely in English, the record blends the raw energy of his touring life with a wide open, genre bending palette.

With ambient textures and spacious soundscapes, his songs move between intimacy and vastness, like snapshots of light, air, and motion captured in sound.

About 『Dangle Candle』

His debut solo album 『Dangle Candle』draws from years of touring and recording experience, both in Japan and abroad. Kamoto handled everything from songwriting to recording, mixing, and artwork design.

Yuma Koda joined as arranger and co-producer, adding depth and organic spaciousness through keyboards and synthesizers. Mastering was handled by Hiroshi Ikeda of hmc.

The album marks Kamoto’s first time taking lead vocals, a significant departure from his work with DYGL. The gentle yet wistful sonic landscape evokes the feeling of driving through coastal roads at dusk or soft mountain shadows, where scenery and time dissolve together.

Released via Thaian Records, led by Yuma Abe, this work introduces a fresh sonic landscape shaped by Kohei Kamoto.
